Sippican Elementary School
Marion,
Massachusetts
The Sippican Elementary School is a complete
renovation with new construction replacing the original landmark
1937 structure. In homage to the original architecture, the cupola
and decorative cast concrete panels were removed in the existing
building, retrofitted, and have been installed in the new addition.
The addition to the building houses the art
and music departments, four classrooms and a 500-seat auditorium
for students and the Marion community. The building was occupied
throughout the entire construction process, which was completed
in three different phases over a two-year period.
